In the spring of 2009, I completed my master’s practicum at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Ingalls Library. I provided reference services and worked with the library’s Kelmscott Press collection.

My supervisor wrote that “in the 23 years I have… supervised practicum students, I have rarely had a student as exceptionally talented, committed and creative as Robin.”

Lecture: William Morris and the Kelmscott Press

This lecture covered the Chaucer’s exquisite production, the storied fight for its printing and distribution rights, and its lasting influence on fine presses. It touched on the collection’s provenance, William Morris’ biography, a history of the Press, and Victorian printing methods. I also led a hands-on exploration of the Kelmscott style, from ink to bindings.
