In the summer of 2008, I worked as Digital Library and Metadata Development Intern at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. This was a ten-week, professional-level paid internship in the Digital Projects Unit of Technical Services.
Now that the Beinecke’s renovation is complete and its doors have re-opened, the cell phone audio tour I initiated during my internship is available to the public.

As an intern in the Beinecke’s digital library, I created 614 metadata records for the comprehensive digitization of the Viola Baxter Jordan papers, the first collection to undergo a Rapid Imaging Process in which a copy stand camera takes JPEG 2000s. This synopsis of the collection was originally published on Poetry at the Beinecke.
